Hi Chuck- adding sauerkraut to bread sounds like an interesting idea! We have a cousin who is nuts about sauerkraut, so I’m thinking this might make a good hostess gift next time we visit their home for dinner! Oh my, this sounds like a great use for sauerkraut (which I can’t get enough of, I love the stuff)…and since my friends and I have missed the opportunity to plan Oktoberfest by about a month (it’s usually in September) and October is almost over, we’re planning a “German Food in November just because…” meal–this will be a perfect thing to add to our menu. I can’t wait to try it.

Very interesting indeed. I know that a good German cake recipe I like uses sauerkraut so why not! Being German myself…I will give it thumbs up automatically! But seriously…this does look good and I am sure it adds so much to the moistness of the bread. Another great recipe indeed!
