What a lovely idea for using up leftover fried rice! Brown rice does take some getting used to but I use it all the time now for health reasons. It has a slighty nutty flavour. One of my favourite ways to prepare it is to season it with jerk spices and pigeon peas. The whole family loves it this way. I have a recipe for it on my blog if you are interested.

Two great ideas in one post....first...the using of rice in bread. This is a 'never heard of before' for me....I shall have to try it. Second...what a great tip about putting the rice in the fridge overnight before frying it. I can see exactly how that would make a difference. Thanks for the post.

As an Indian, rice is a daily feature.Last year I discovered it could be made into bread, so now I can have my rice in my bread!:)

I've never made rice bread with fried rice before. It looks very colourful. I shall try this next time and can already imagine how good its going to be.

Must keep the bread moist and soft with cooked rice. You always have good ideas.
