#5 – Bagel Recipe

Best New York Style Bagels

Potato Bagel Stars

If this was called the “Biggest Surprise Top Ten List” this recipe would be #1. I never really understood why they were such a big deal in New York. When Chuck, first said he was making bagels, I was not very excited.

The only bagels I’ve ever had was store bought. I found them heavy and they needed a lot of cream cheese to give them some flavor.

So, it was a big surprise when I ate one of these beautiful star shaped bagels after the photo shoot. They were soft, chewy and delicious. I find that I actually crave them now. Sorry New York, I’ll never doubt you again.

Hey Chuck! Made these for New Years morning, and although I had to leave them in the oven A LOT longer than the recipe calls for, they were delicious and relatively easy to make. We loved eating them fresh from the oven and slathered in Cream Cheese while watching the rose parade.
