Maple Seeded Bread Recipe

Maple Seeded Bread

A while back I went on a photography weekend to Cathedral Lake Lodge in BC, Canada. We had to get up before sunrise so that we could hike (in the dark with head lamps) to a place where we could catch that perfect golden light of the sunrise. So the lodge set out an amazing spread for us to make ourselves breakfast and a lunch for the day. They had this incredible bread that was full of seeds perfect for the fuel we needed to hike around all day. I described it to my brother and he came up with this fabulous bread. If I could get Chuck to make a bread for me every week this would be the one.

    Delicious, and so heathy-looking.

I have never considered baking bread before but because I was tired of buying store made bread that had everything in it but the right, healthy stuff, I decided to give it a try. I used your recipe and what a thrill this was! Not only was this recipe easy to follow – the bread tastes like heaven! I made an eggplant salad to go with it and I could not believe how well they went together! Thank you so much for sharing this, I think I will try the pizza dough next, even though I’m on a quest to lose some pounds, but then good food in moderation never hurts! Wonderful site, thanks!

I actually am making this bread as we speak. This is the first time I’m making it and I’m not sure what I did wrong, but I don’t know if it’s going to turn out good. I followed the recipe and somehow the dough has turned out really hard, like there was not enough liquid in it. It’s not rising much as a result. So we will see how it turns out after it’s been baked.
