Cookie Scone Recipe
November 28th, 2008 by chuck
I think everyone loves scones and biscuits. They are not only easy and quick to make. They are also delicious. You can have them on the table in about 30 minutes from start to finish. Scones and Biscuits are very similar in their method and ingredients. The biggest difference is that scones are usually richer than biscuits. As they tend to contain more fat.
These rich cookie scones are simply delicious. They are thin, sweet, tender on the inside, with a slight crunch from the sugar topping and with the hint of plump currants that really add to the flavor.
These cookie scones would make a perfect gift for a teacher, co-workers, neighbors, Sunday school teacher, or as a hostess gift. You could also add special jams or preserves that you may have made over the summer. Or, go to one of your local gourmet stores and pick up an unusual jam or jelly. Wrap them up in one of those cello bags and tie a pretty ribbon on it. Voila! You have a beautiful and tasty gift for that special person to enjoy.
