Warning, Warning, Warning!

I’m telling you now! If you are on a diet, trying to lose weight, or diabetic please do not continue! Do not look at these tantalizing, scrumptious photo’s of the most delicious bread you have ever tasted! Filled with fresh strawberries, creamy mascarpone cheese and butter. Added to that, is sweetened condensed milk and the wonderful flavor of white sugar all topped with a white chocolate truffle icing enriched with whipping cream and tasty morsels of white chocolate. Guaranteed to help you gain at least 10 pounds!

Leave this page … please don’t continue! Go checkout some other food blog ( maybe Lori’s wonderful food blog at RecipeGirl.com ) or better yet, turn off you computer and walk away. I don’t want to be accused of tempting or wrecking your diet! Just go to the fridge and grab a few carrots and munch away.

This is your final warning!

OK, you asked for it. But, before we begin please loosen your belts. This Quick Bread is so full of calories you will gain weight just looking at the pics.

I love this time of year with all the fresh vegetables and sweet juicy fruits at our disposal to make some delicious baked goods. The Mascarpone cheese and sweetened condensed milk really add a creamy, moist and silky texture to this bread, that creates a real pleasure for the taste buds.
This Strawberry bread with a White Chocolate Truffle Icing would be a perfect gift for that skinny co-worker that struts around the office thinking she’s all that. You could slip a few pieces, or if you want to be really cruel, a whole loaf of this delicious Strawberry bread onto her desk and sit back and watch as she expands into a …. well, you get the picture!
I apologize for any weight gain I may have caused. But, you were warned and I no longer take any responsibility for what these bread pics may have done to your waistline ;)
Enjoy!

Chuck, you are doing it again. What a lovely loaf! And wow, your pictures are simply amazing. If you tell me you have never taken any photography classes, I have to say – Chuck, you are gifted, lucky you:)

I just printed the recipe. I think I’ll make it without icing since I am not a big fan of icing in general. I loved it that you used condensed milk in the recipe. In Azerbaijan we use it a lot in cake batters and for cake creams. And I love its taste. This loaf must taste like heaven!:) Thank you for sharing with us yet another masterpiece of yours!

    Hey Chuck,

Ok, that’s too funny. Are you aware that we both posted about strawberry bread?? And mine links to your site. Did that happen on accident? Too funny. I’m on vacation right now and just happened to see this. Looks great. Almost like a wonderful, sweet cakey dessert bread!!

Chuck, guess what? I finally made your most delicious Strawberry Bread! I was intending to do so for the longest time and finally did it:) I didn’t substitute mascarpone cheese with anything else as I wrote you in my email, I just wanted to go with it since I was really curious about that cheese (never had it before). The cake turned out great! It is the most moist cake I’ve ever had. It is still warm and fragile – I couldn’t wait and sliced a piece. Tried it, it is heaven! I think I have to wait a little before slicing the rest to give the cake a chance to sort of set. Let’s see if I can wait that long:)) Thank you for the great recipe!

  23. on 15 Jul 2008 at 12:17 am farida

PS: I didn’t do the frosting as I am not a big fan or frostings. I think the cake was still delicious!!!! Yum!
