Turbo Chef

I found my dream oven and I have to tell you about it!

If I told you that you could cook a 12 lbs Turkey in 42 min. would you believe me?
If I told you that you could cook a Chocolate Souffle in 2 min. would you believe me?
If I told you that you could cook a Apple Pie in 16 min. would you believe me?

Turbo Chef Oven

Well, you can with the TurboChef oven and I have fallen in love. I was surfing the net and came across the TurboChef oven and had to tell all my foodie friends about it. The TurboChef is a luxurious high end gourmet oven for your home. This sleek, sexy oven with exquisite curved edges and sculptured doors can make a man’s heart start to palpitate. My daughter says that only a foodie can find an oven sexy. Well, that maybe true but, I think anyone who loves food and has to cook a meal for the family after a long days work, would fall in love with this oven. Just imagine creating a delicious meal up to 15 times faster than conventional methods. You can cook 4 Chicken Rollatini’s in 8 minutes and an 11 inch Lemon Tart for dessert in 19 minutes.

I would love to hear what everyone thinks of this oven. Now, I know the TurboChef is not cheap and I can only dream about it at this time. But, one day it’s going to be mine. I also have this picture on my fridge and hoping that the “Law of Attraction” will work for me. You have to check out the flash presentation at The Oven Reinvented, you will be truly amazed.

You can also check out TurboChef at their main site too. Please come back and tell me if you have fallen in love also!

Oh. Impressed? Yep! This looks like heaven in a kitchen. Another 20 years and they may even hit the UK market!

    Chuck,
I’ll bet that would make eclairs and Madeleines really fast!
I received a new Cuisinart 9 speed hand mixer for Mother’s Day, because I put it on my blog and guilted my kids into buying it for me. You could try that approach, it worked for me! You have to make it real pathetic though. They’ll buy anything!
Good Luck! It sure is sexy! And Father’s Day is right around the corner!

Wow! I love that oven! Good thing I didn’t see it before I had my kitchen renovated otherwise my husband would have had no peace!

Donna may have something there – because of her ‘I really, really want’ post, somehow I ended up getting a shiny, new red Kitchen Aid for Mother’s Day!

I was recently at an event that was showing off various kitchen products. The Turbochef folks were there and said that this oven is list price about
$8,500 US… and that while it can do those great times… you have to be sure that the thing is well vented by your contractors… lots of high fat foods (read turkey and chicken) can cause problems without venting. The venting part is more important for the professional ones they were pushing.

They are great because you don’t even have to do the install, you can put them simply on a counter top, and don’t need the venting if you are making things like breads. But there best one, which you can use metal items in cost you about $11,000….

So I’m curious to see how well they go in the homes.

How is it constructed that allows it to dramatically reduce cook times?

Do not buy the hype. If this oven worked great all professional chefs would use one and pulled pork sandwiches would not exist. BArbecuing exists for a reason after all. This oven overcooks many foods and is not proven for the long haul. Check this consumer reports review and sleep soundly at night knowing that you did not pay 8000 dollars for this. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/appliances/kitchen-appliances/cooktops-and-wall-ovens/first-look-turbochef-30-inch-double-wall-speedcook-oven/overview/turbochef-speedcook-oven.htm

Hi Chuck. Just cooked your Chocolate banana crunch bread in a TurboChef oven. It cut the cook time in half and turned out great. You can see the results here: http://www.turbochef.com/residential/blog/

Hey Chef…I absolutely love the turbo chef oven. I do prefer the industrial models (the kind you see in sandwich shops nowadays) but all in all if t’s cooking technology i am on board with it.

Construction just finished — and we got to cook our first meal in our new TurboChef last night. It was a complete Turbo meal — beef tenderloin, biscuits, asparagus and rosemary potatoes. (All are recipes in the TC’s built-in cookbook.) Everything came out perfect! The beef was seared on the outside and tender pink on the inside… with no pan searing. I’m still marveling that the total in-oven time for all of these dishes was less than an hour. Not only was it the fastest gourmet dinner we’ve ever made — it was the tastiest. I love this machine.

We just finished remodeling a 1905 southern plantation and put a TurboChef in the kitchen.

Last night we cooked a 3# rump roast. In 15 min. it was just the way we like it, med to rare. It taste like fillet, it was so tender. Baked potatoes in just a couple minutes and we were eating.
Love it!! Lots of $$$, but Oh what a machine!!

Christmas Dinner we did a honey baked ham in about 8 minutes (couldn’t find a recipe so adapted one. Meatballs in 4 min.

    What a marvelous machine!!
